Back in May we introduced you to the Hannas — a family of seven being torn apart by cancer.

Both mum Shartha and dad Jamal both passed away in the weeks that followed.

Since then ACA viewers have donated more than half a million dollars to buy the five orphans a house.

Now the kids Christina, Alex, Andy, Allin and Nancy have moved in. The next task was turning the house into a home.

The Tradies

Eric Vuitton from Sydney Painters had originally planned to paint the inside of the house but ended up painting the whole house. He also enlisted the help of his dad, brother and Uncle Don to polish the floorboards downstairs, and lay the floating floors on the stairwell.

Joe Pirillo from Powercorp Electrical ended up doing up to $40,000 worth of work, rewiring the whole house and supplying all the cables.

Geelong builder Rob Sinclair, 23, didn’t get the chance to help out with the Victorian bushfires but when he heard about the Hannah House appeal he thought that was a great way to lend a hand.
